Leftover Barbecue Meat? LET'S DO TACOS!!

Writer's picture: Chef KatChef Kat

I believe tacos are one of the most delicious and easiest meals to cook. There are endless options when it comes to meats, cheeses, salsas and toppings. For this recipe I prefer using pulled pork, chopped or pulled brisket, or beef rib meat.

Below the recipe is super simple to go along with the tacos photoed. In the future I will post more taco and topping/salsa combinations.

Servings: 4-6

Cook Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

- 2 lbs meat of your choice

- 2/3 cup Spicy Hickory Bone CleanerTM Bbq Sauce

- 1 small yellow onion diced

- 1 tbs oil

- Monterey Jack cheese

- flour/corn tortillas (small/street size)

- Cilantro

** Bone CleanerTM Bbq Sauce and Meat Paring Tips Below

Directions:

  1. In a medium bowl break down meat and add the Spicy Hickory bone CleanerTM Bbq Sauce. Mix well. The more the meat is broken up, the better.

  2. On medium heat slightly caramelize onions and stir in meat mixture. Keep stirring meat over heat just long enough to warm up. Approximately 5 min, then remove from stove.

  3. Using a large skillet, place on medium heat and add tortillas. Only place as many that will fit comfortably flat before folding.

  4. Sprinkle a layer of cheese over taco shells and place a nice size scoop (about 2 heaping tablespoons works well) fold and let get crispy on both sides. cheese and sauce will ooze out creating some incredible flavors that your tastebuds will be doing cartwheels over.

  5. Once plated sprinkle with fresh cilantro and ENJOY!
